Youth Services Task Force
WHAT WE DO: The Big West Zones 26/27 Rotary Youth Services Taskforce exists to “connect the dots” between youth leaders and programs across our thirty districts. By making these connections and sharing information about existing programs and best practices, our intent is to strengthen Rotary Youth Services programs throughout our two zones.
HOW WE CAN HELP: We connect the youth leaders in our thirty districts, gather and catalog RYS programs and leaders’ information, identify model RYS programs to showcase, develop an accessible RYS Resource Repository, and sponsor virtual gatherings to share best practices.
WHO WE ARE: Our steering committee is currently comprised of eight Rotarians who provide guidance and recommendations to the Zones 26/27 Rotary International Director on youth programs as well as provide support for zone-wide conferences and activities.
We have created three“Communities of Practice”:
- Interact
- RYLA
- Rotary Youth Protection
These communities are groups of people who share a common purpose and learn how to pursue it from one another.
