About the Zones

Rotary Zones 26 & 27 consist of 30 Rotary Districts located in the western United States and Canada.

Around the globe, Rotary is divided into 34 geographic zones, which are grouped into pairs. Each Rotary International Director represents two of these “paired” zones, serving a two-year term on the Rotary Board of Directors.

The primary focus of Zones 26 & 27 is to support the work being done by our 30 Districts, representing more than 1700 clubs and 67,000 Rotary members.

Zone coordinators – who specialize in areas such as membership, public image, The Rotary Foundation, and PolioPlus – provide opportunities for learning, networking, and skill development, among their peers in each District.

Each year, we coordinate a Rotary Institute to bring together leaders from throughout our Districts for interactive, peer-based discussion sessions and presentations by world-class speakers. Zone education staff provide valuable training each year for our incoming District Governors.
